Obama is a coward.

Pardon me for being direct, but that's the main point of this post.

We all know what he, and all good radical leftists, think about illegal immigration (that it's no problem at all, that we should welcome all illegal immigrants with free education, healthcare, employment assistance and other entitlement programs.)  We also know how much Obama hates the Arizona immigration law that goes into effect on July 29th.  I won't waste my time and yours explaining the law, just Google it if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Weeks ago, Obama ordered the Justice Dept to look into the legality of the law...presumably with the intent to halt Arizona's ability to govern and defend their own lands as they see fit.

This morning, FROM PERU, Obama spoke through his impotent puppet, Hillary Clinton, saying that he was bringing a lawsuit against Arizona over the law.  This was news to Governor Brewer, who hasn't heard anything from the Justice Dept or the Obama administration at all.  Obama has avoided Arizona and Brewer entirely, choosing instead to take potshots and sniveling behind closed doors about the law.  Obama has every right to hold a different opinion on immigration, that's his right as an American (if he was actually born here, but that's another rub), but he is showing a complete and total lack of leadership on this issue.  A leader would enter discussion with Brewer and Arizona, and find a solution that is amiable to the people of Arizona.  Obama hasn't said anything to anyone in Arizona.  Instead, Obama goes behind everyone's back and announcing it from freakin Peru.

Obama = blithering coward.

Well there goes the military

The house voted late last night 234-194 in favor of repealing the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, which will pave the way for openly homosexual people to serve in the military.  This came after the Senate Armed Services Committee voted 16-12 in favor of the repeal earlier on Thursday.

There aren't words for the total disdain and disgust I feel forwards the radical liberals in our government right now.  It's bad enough for them to run over ordinary citizens with their far-left agendas and pass bills like the stimulus packages and healthcare.  But this is taking it way too far.  Now Congress is meddling in the internal business of the military.  The Pentagon specifically requested that Congress until they were done with internal surveying and polling military officials to see if they wanted this type of legislation.  Congress (read: bleeding heart, radical liberal democrats) refused to honor the sovereignty of the military and pressed on.

So much for Generals and senior Pentagon officials running our armed forces.  The last thing our soldiers need is to deal with all the drama this bleeding heart hogwash is going to create.  "Don't ask, don't tell" has served its purpose wonderfully in the 17 years since it was enacted.  Now we'll have to deal with countless claims of harassment and discrimination from poor homosexuals who weren't treated "properly".

Opening the door to the volatility and instability that adding the question of sexual orientation will create is unacceptable.  Our soldiers shouldn't have to bear the burden of wondering, or of feeling constant awkwardness and unwanted sexual tension....especially, at this critical time in history, where the military is already under the extreme stress of a long-term conflict.  I wonder how many gay men have to get beaten to a bloody mess on the floor of a Marine Corps barracks before our liberal Congress realizes that sticking their nose in the internal affairs of the military was a bad idea.

This has disaster written all over it.

You Think You Know How the Story Goes...

A new twist on the classic parable:

OLD VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away..

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY? Be responsible, and make wise decisions!

---

AND NOW... THE MODERN VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

ACORN stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, “We shall overcome.” Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid announce in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for new legislation and an immediate tax hike on the ant to force him to pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading, "under-privileged" friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The ant then disappeared into the snow, never to be seen again.

Soon there after, the grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of illegal immigrant cockroaches who terrorize the once peaceful and prosperous neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses, bringing the rest of the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY? Don't be a grasshopper. Be careful who you vote for in 2010!

Obama is a victim of Bush's failed promises.

The following is an article from the Aurora Sentinel in Aurora, CO from February 2010. I thought it was worth sharing. Enjoy:

---

Barack Obama is setting a record-setting number of records during his first year in office.

Largest budget ever. Largest deficit ever. Largest number of broken promises ever. Most self-serving speeches ever. Largest number of agenda-setting failures ever. Fastest dive in popularity ever.

Wow. Talk about change.

Just one year ago, fresh from his inauguration celebrations, President Obama was flying high. After one of the nation’s most inspiring political campaigns, the election of America’s first black president had captured the hopes and dreams of millions. To his devout followers, it was inconceivable that a year later his administration would be gripped in self-imposed crisis.

Of course, they don’t see it as self imposed. It’s all George Bush’s fault.

George Bush, who doesn’t have a vote in Congress and who no longer occupies the White House, is to blame for it all.

*
He broke Obama’s promise to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

He broke Obama’s promise to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

He broke Obama’s promise to end earmarks.

He broke Obama’s promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

He broke Obama’s promise to close the detention center at Guantanamo in the first year.

He broke Obama’s promise to make peace with direct, no pre-condition talks with America’s most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.

He broke Obama’s promise to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

He broke Obama’s promise to end no-compete contracts with the government.

He broke Obama’s promise to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.

He broke Obama’s promise for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

He broke Obama’s promise to have chosen a home church to attend Sunday services with his family by Easter of last year.

Yes, it’s all George Bush’s fault. President Obama is nothing more than a puppet in the never-ending, failed Bush administration.

If only George Bush wasn’t still in charge, all of President Obama’s problems would be solved. His promises would have been kept, the economy would be back on track, Iran would have stopped its work on developing a nuclear bomb and would be negotiating a peace treaty with Israel, North Korea would have ended its tyrannical regime, and integrity would have been restored to the federal government.

Oh, and did I mention what it would be like if the Democrats, under the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, didn’t have the heavy yoke of George Bush around their necks. There would be no earmarks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana).

If only George Bush wasn’t still in charge, we’d have real change by now.

All the broken promises, all the failed legislation and delay (health care reform, immigration reform) is not President Obama’s fault or the fault of the Democrat-controlled Congress. It’s all George Bush’s fault.

Take for example the decision of Eric Holder, the president’s attorney general, to hold terrorists’ trials in New York City. Or his decision to try the Christmas Day underpants bomber as a civilian.

Two disastrous decisions.

Certainly those were bad judgments based on poor advice from George Bush.

Need more proof?

You might recall that when Scott Brown won last month’s election to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts, capturing “the Ted Kennedy seat,” President Obama said that Brown’s victory was the result of the same voter anger that propelled Obama into office in 2008. People were still angry about George Bush and the policies of the past 10 years, and they wanted change.

Yes, according to the president, the voter rebellion in Massachusetts last month was George Bush’s fault.

Therefore, in retaliation, they elected a Republican to the Ted Kennedy seat, ending a half-century of domination by Democrats.

It is all George Bush’s fault.

Will the failed administration of George Bush ever end, and the time for hope and change ever arrive?

Will President Obama ever accept responsibility for something — anything?

It's illegal to be illegal...

Ok, this bleeding heart fiasco in Arizona is getting completely out of hand. I don't even know where to start attacking people's ridiculous reaction to the new law. Obviously, the federal government's ineptitude and complete inability or unwillingness to enforce current immigration law is largely to blame here. The most aggravating part of the whole deal is how badly all these liberals are flipping out.

On the one hand, you've got the great and mighty Obama questioning the legality of a law that simply enforces existing laws. Then you have the completely incapable and ineffective President Calderon who has the gall to say that this law will open the door to "discrimination and abuse from law enforcement". The great irony is that he needs look no further than any border town in his rotten little cesspool of a country to find possibly the most wholly corrupt and discriminatory law enforcement on the continent.

Of course, back in Washington, Obama certainly doesn't want laws like this on the books! Why, if we don't let all these illegal immigrants in, than the orgs formerly known as ACORN won't have as many people to coerce, manipulate and illegally register to vote for the Democrats. I mean, if Arizona gets away with this, more states might be encouraged to enforce the law too! We can't have that.

As if we didn't already have enough information on Obama's true motivations...now he certainly can't hide them. His actions so far are nothing short of blatant pandering for the hispanic vote. Do you think it's any coincidence that his first mid-term campaign statements were released this week, directly targeting blacks, hispanics, women and young people? Hey, Obama, what's that you were saying about racism and discrimination?? Seems pretty racist to call out specific demographics only because you know so many of them are gullible and uneducated enough to be swayed by your empty promises and subtly hateful rhetoric.

Props to you, Governor Brewer, for having the courage to do what's necessary to protect your state from the hundreds and thousands of terrorists, criminals, cast-offs and other societally burdensome illegals. If you ask me, the first place you should start checking IDs is at all these protests outside your capital building. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there crying about the law that don't belong here.

That said, if someone wants to come to America, there are plenty of ways to do it legally. However, if someone has nothing to offer society, they most certainly have no business here. The last thing America needs right now is yet another parasite on the healthcare and education industries.

I really hope that the law stands, and that more states take up similar action. However, I fear the pressure from the corrupt in Washington and the bleeding heart libs and their activist groups will cry too loudly for the law to stand. It's a real shame too, makes me wish for the good old days when it was still illegal to be an illegal.

Things Obama can do to pass the time during the blizzard in D.C.

This list is borrowed from another source.

Things Obama can do to pass the time during the blizzard in D.C.

1. Start all over on a health care reform bill, just as the conservatives and many Democrats have suggested. It'll blow their minds.

2. Commandeer a snowplow from the city fleet, dig out Washington's Penn Quarter and out-Scott Brown the truck-driving senator by topping his campaign pitch line. "I'm Barack Obama. I'm from Chicago. I drive a snowplow."

3. Settle the score with the media, permanently. In his latest lament over the 24/7, he-said, she-said, cable and Internet media environment, Obama told Senate Democrats last week to turn off CNN, Fox News and the blogs. This is his chance. A delicately worded executive order could eliminate all cable news channels, Internet-based outlets and other ill-favored media so all that remains is a print-only reincarnation of the Washington Star, whose only writer is liberal columnist E.J. Dionne. Finally, some peace and quiet.

4. Hold a press conference every day the government is down. By knocking out three or four at once, he could bank his total for the rest of the year.

5. Prepare for post-snowpocalyptic life in the nation's capital. Draft a pothole restoration and recovery plan -- then claim every repaired pothole as a job saved or created.

6. Compose the next State of the Union address as if it were a movie trailer. More people will pay attention and Republicans will be far more willing to cooperate if every line of the speech begins with, "In a world where ..."

7. Kiss and make up with C-SPAN. Perhaps the channel is still miffed that it didn't get to cover the backroom health care negotiations, but that's nothing a content-sharing agreement can't fix. Obama could give them unfettered access to health care talks. In exchange, Obama aide Dan Pfeiffer could blog every day on WhiteHouse.gov about what C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb has for breakfast. How's that for access?

8. Plan Valentine's Day with the first lady. But keep it simple this year. A helicopter ride over the Himalayas, dinner at The French Laundry and matching vanity jet packs is tasteful, but not excessive.

9. Actually start taxing tea. That'll really give the Tea Partiers something to cry about.

Terrorists and Politicians

So, good ole BO thought it was a good idea to remove the 9/11 terrorists from their perfectly good detention facility where they couldn't potentially harm American citizens. He brought them to NYC because, as a good liberal, he cares more about political correctness and appeasing the ACLU and other weak-kneed, limp-wristed organizations that argue that these monsters are deserving of civilian trials.

Now NYC officials and law enforcement have screamed long and loud enough that they don't want the terrorists there because of the cost, security and logistical nightmare it creates. So now BO is trying to find somewhere else to stick them while he figures out what to do with the terrorist cowards. My question is simple: Did BO not think this through before he moved the terrorists in the first place? If our President doesn't possess the foresight to realize this might have been an issue, than he is an even bigger liability than many people have previously thought.

Here's my thoughts on the best solution:

Try the terrorist cowards as war criminals and as enemies of the state. They are not American citizens and have no rights to a civil trial. In my opinion, their actions have voided any rights whatsoever. They should be treated as rabid animals needing to be put to sleep. Hang 'em. At Ground Zero. Invite the families of the victims of 9/11. Show the world that we have the intestinal fortitude necessary to properly deal with those who would harm us. And when their friends in the Middle East try to paint them as martyrs and incite more violence, use the necessary force to completely eliminate them. Stop trying to fight fair with terrorists who have no rules. Stop perpetuating this war simply because the liberals in charge of our country don't have the stomach to do what is necessary. Stop trying to legislate and westernize a region that will never accept democracy and will begin to revert to their old ways the minute we leave their country. End this pointless war and bring our men and women home.

Thank you.
